With 1 in 36 children being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and health insurance coverage for ABA as a treatment for ASD now in all 50 U.S. states, the demand for ABA services puts ABA providers in a position of needing to be efficient and effective in this line of work. Optimizing treatment planning for funding approval aligns ABA service delivery with the healthcare model in which the field operates. This presentation will review ways in which BCBAs can complete treatment planning to promote approval of funding requests and avoid delays and denials from funding sources.
